Organists for 2025 Summer Movie Classics at
The Kentucky Theatre
In 2025 our BGATOS organists continued the tradition of playing theatre organ selections for the Kentucky Theater's Summer Classic Movie series. The Theatre shows specially chosen classic movies on Wednesdays during the summer months. Our organists play for about 30 minutes prior to the start of the movie on the Allen organ in the theater auditorium. Each organist selects their own music and performs in their own style which gives the audience, many of whom come every Wednesday, a wide appreciation of the musical capabilities of the theatre organ. Often when the movie has a distinctive theme, the organists try to incorporate some of that music in their performance.
